Did you know there was a water treatment plant located in Glen Canyon, downstream of Glen Canyon Dam that served the water needs of Page Arizona until the water treatment plant that currently serves Page was completed? I have photographic evidence so let’s talk about this riveting topic!

Those are great photos of the original water treatment plant! The day trips on the river used to be able to go through the tunnel to get to the rafts and the crew would often point out the switchbacks of the old road going up to one of the adits near the top of the tunnel.
